[EVENT] Baycember 2021


BAYCEMBER 2021!

Walking through a paved path lit up by decorations, you entered a clearing surrounded by friendly faces. Though you were cold, you felt comforted by the warmth around you. Holidays are the most fun when spent with others, aren't they? Still a little cold though, but it looks like they offer cocoa here too!

ART PROMPTS

Rules

  1. Some activities require for you to have submitted at least one completed prompt- activities that require it will be marked as such. However, not every activity will require completing prompts to be able to participate in.
  2. You may depict your Bayfox as feral, anthro, or Baysune in your prompts. Depicting mascots and other peoples' Bayfoxes (with their permission) is also allowed.
  3. Both art and writing submissions are allowed. Art can be digital or traditional. All entries must be kept SFW. Collabs will not be accepted.
  4. All art submissions must at LEAST be one colored fullbody. Extra shading and backgrounds are optional as long as the prompt is still clear. Writing submissions must include at least one "main character" and be at least 500 words long.
  5. Prompts can be completed more than once and in any order! Prompts will give rewards individually, so you do not need to complete every prompt to get rewards. You cannot "fuse" prompts to earn multiple rewards for one piece.
  6. Please only pick one prompt per submission, and only submit one prompt at a time. Do not assign multiple prompts to one entry.
  7. Artistic interpretation and creative liberty for prompts is encouraged, as long as it still relates to the theme in some way!
  8. ONLY EC and any additional prompt-related rewards will be redeemed when prompt submissions are made. If you wish to earn shells for your artwork as well, please submit it separately to Art Redeeming!
  9. All work must be new and original and include your noticeable effort. Any artwork using bases or backgrounds not your own will be declined.

Your first prompt submission will reward you with the BAYCEMBER 2021 badge! This badge will permit you to enter the other sections of this event!

PROMPT LIST

Heart of Light

Even though the days get shorter during the winter, it doesn’t mean there’s a shortage of light! There’s colorful decorative lights, faint glowing moonlight… and even northern lights! Which ones’ are your Bayfox’s favorites? How do they engage with them? Do they like to decorate with them, or just admire from a distance? Or maybe they’re someone who doesn’t like light at all...

 

Winter Storm
It looks like the winter storm was pretty heavy last night… how does your Bayfox react? Are they snowed in? Is there even snow involved at all? Do they brave the chills of the storm, or choose to stay inside and ignore it altogether? Do they drag a friend along into their endeavors? In a storm, it’s all up to them!

 

Holiday Treats
Holiday delicacies… an important part of the winter season! Whether it be an elaborate feast or baking and decorating sweet treats, do they partake in these activities alone or with their friends and family? When all is said and done, do they like to share their treats, or horde it all for themselves? 

 

First Noel
It seems some sort of performance is a popular tradition for the holidays! Some seem to enjoy caroling (even if they may not be great at it), while others seem to be quite fond of the tacky holiday plays they put on as baykits! Does your Bayfox enjoy directly partaking in any of these activities? Do they prefer to simply watch? Do they despise these activities and just tend to get dragged into them?

 

Festive Decor
Does your bayfox enjoy decorating for christmas? Presentation is everything, after all! ...or is it? Does your bayfox go all out on holiday decor, or do they call it a day at a single mini tree? Do they like ornaments? Maybe they prefer making their own crafted decorations instead? 

REWARDS
You can earn a flat rate of 5 EC and one winter OR baycember themed companion for every art submission that is submitted. Finish (backgrounds or shading, etc) can reward you with bonus EC! Similar to Bayloween, the rewards will be tiered.
For writing prompts, 500 words will grant you the basic 5 EC, for every 100 words after that you will earn an extra 1 EC. So if you write 2000 words, you can receive 20EC.

  • 1 submission: Baycember Profile Badge
  • 2 submissions: Random Effect Potion
  • 3 submissions: 1000 Seashells
  • 4 submissions: 10 EC
  • 5 submissions: 1 Festive Pockat + 2 additional Baycember/Winter Companions
